Reindeer Wood of the world has and will continue to set quality requirements for Thermowood in order to take responsibility for the care of the environment. To ensure this, our quality chain goes all the way from the source of the raw materials to the end consumer. Reindeer Wood Thermowood is a sustainable wood with high performance of tropical hardwoods. No chemicals are used in the manufacturing process of our products, which provides a good basis for the ecological soundness. Applied correctly, heat and steam are sufficient to turn wood into a durable and impressive construction material. At the end of its life span Thermowood, being a pure natural product, can be burned and turned into bio energy or recycled.
Reindeer Wood of the world respects the world’s abundant natural resources and strives to preserve them by actively sourcing reclaimed, sustainable and environmentally conscious materials. That’s why many of our materials qualify for use in LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) projects.
We support international, non-governmental organizations which promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world’s forests. Operating around the world, these organizations work to find solutions that encourage responsible stewards of these resources. Throughout consultative processes, they set international standards for responsible forest management and evaluate forestry operations to determine whether they meet their strict principles and criteria.
If an organization is determined to be in compliance, a certificate is issued recognizing that the company supports the growth of responsible forest management. The chain-of-custody is carefully tracked to ensure that GREEN (certified) materials are not mixed with those that are not certified, guaranteeing that the end consumer receives products that originated from certified, well-managed forests and forestry operations.

We are a major LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) producer.
We are members of PEFC, Pan-European Forest Council, which is the Euroasian counterpart of FSC (Forest Steward Council).

Floors can be constructed with a rapidly renewable wood core and backing system. (Protego Oils qualify as well)
