At a northern latitude and with a short yet abundant growing season, Reindeer Wood possesses unique characteristics. Go much further north and you reach the tree line, a bit further south and the timber just doesn't possess the same qualities of durability and strength as does the slow growing Reindeer Wood of Kainuu.
